Second Online Training Session Completed within GreenHarvest
The second online training session of the GreenHarvest Training of Trainers programme was successfully held on 9 June 2026 with the participation of project partners and trainers from different countries.
This session focused on the country-based research tasks assigned after the first online training. Participants shared key findings about the agricultural sector in their own countries, including the main challenges faced by farmers, the role of public policies, market conditions, sustainability priorities, land use pressures and the current level of awareness regarding regenerative agriculture.
The discussions provided an important opportunity to compare different agricultural realities across partner countries. Participants reflected on how climate change, rising production costs, soil degradation, water management issues and limited access to practical knowledge affect farmers in different local contexts.
A special focus was placed on why regenerative agriculture is not yet widely adopted and what kind of support is needed to scale up regenerative practices. The need for practical training, farmer-friendly educational materials, local examples, policy support and stronger knowledge exchange was highlighted during the session.
The second online training strengthened the common understanding among project partners and helped prepare participants for the upcoming face-to-face Training of Trainers activity. The findings and discussions from this session will also contribute to the development of the GreenHarvest Educational Toolkit, training videos and local learning activities.
Through these online preparation sessions, GreenHarvest continues to build a shared learning foundation for promoting regenerative agriculture, supporting trainers and empowering agricultural stakeholders across partner countries.
